WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED TO ENTER THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY PROFESSION?

To become a health and safety adviser it is recommended you have a health and safety diploma or certificate. Massey University, the University of Otago and the Southern Institute of Technology are the only places that offer health and safety diplomas/postgraduate qualifications. However, a number of polytechnics, industry training organisations and private providers offer health and safety certificates.
